Vegetarian Recipes | Gnocchi with onion and garlic sauce | How to make Gnocchi



A vegetarian/vegan recipe for Gnocchi. In this video you will see how to make Gnocchi and this version is 100% vegetarian, dairy free and also vegan friendly. This recipe should cover about 4 people, and it’s very feeling, a nice fix for those desired stodgy winter warming foods when it’s cold 🙂

Recipe:
Gnocchi:
400g potatoes
50g flour
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Sauce:
2 tablespoons olive oil/other
1/2 red onion
1 and 1/2 teaspoons garlic granules
salt to taste
3-4 tablespoons flour
2 and 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk

Method:
1) peel and boil potatoes potatoes until soft
2) mash potatoes, add salt, pepper and flour and make into dough
3) roll mixture into little nugget looking things and cook in boiling water until they rise to the top and place aside

Making the white sauce:
1) add oil, and cook onions, salt and garlic for 4-5 minutes on medium heat

2) add flour and mix with onion to form a type of crumble

3) start adding the milk bit by bit whilst stirring and squashing any lump of flour to get a smoother sauce

4) pour sauce over gnocchi’s and serve
