The holiday season is here, and you know what that means- indulging in a lot of fatty and delicious food. But I have a healthy alternative for you that will satisfy your taste buds and balance out those unhealthy meals. I’m going to be making an Apple Fall Salad featuring my favorite Fall produce. Let’s get started! You’re going to need:

– 1 bunch Romaine lettuce
– 3 slices of bacon (I cut mine in half)
– 1 pear
– 1 Honeycrisp apple
– 1/4 cup walnuts
– 1/4 cup dried cranberries
– 1/4 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
– 1/4 cup Poppy Seed or other Salad Dressing

Chop the bacon up into small pieces and then cook them until they’re golden brown. Remove from heat and drain on paper towel.
Next, wash and cut your Romaine lettuce into small pieces. It’s easier to eat this way, and I also like how it looks kind of chopped too. Then, dice your pear and apple into small pieces.
Place your Romaine lettuce in a large bowl and then add the pear, apple, bacon, walnuts, dried cranberries, and Gorgonzola cheese, and toss them well. Drizzle on the dressing and give it another good toss.

I’m using my favorite Poppy Seed dressing because I love how the creaminess pairs with the apples. But you can use Balsamic Vinaigrette, or even Honey Mustard dressing, whatever you like.

Toss it well then serve immediately.

This salad is so fresh but best of all, It’s filling too! I love the sweetness of the Honeycrisp apple and it gives it a nice crunch. What do you plan to eat to stay healthy this Holiday season? Comment below and don’t forget to subscribe and share with your friends. And I’ll see you guys soon. Bye!
