Can I combine all the ingredients and let it cook in a crock pot?
this recipe needs severe tweaking;
i'd have drizzled into the pot some olive oil, tossed in some diced onions, and some crushed garlic prior to the other stuff, and saute until translucent. THEN, i'd do the rest adding 1 parsnip or some chopped parsley, leaving out the pesto.
