Ingredients: (5-6 servings)

1. Rice – 8 cups(approximately 1 kg)
2. Cooking oil- 4 Tablespoons
3. Chopped Onion(Medium Size) – 1
4. Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 ½ Tablespoon
5. Salt – 3 Teaspoons
6. Caraway seeds (Shahzeera) – 1 Teaspoon
7. Cinnamon(Dalhini) – 2 small sticks
8. Cloves – 2
9. Mint Leaves – Half Bunch
10. Chopped Coriander – ½ Bunch
11. Whole Green Chillies – 4 to 5
12. Water – 5 Big Glasses (2.5 litres)

Procedure:

1. In a cooking saucepan, add cooking oil and when it gets hot, add chopped onion.
2. Stir till it turns brown.
3. Now add ginger garlic paste, salt, caraway seeds, cinnamon, cloves and water.
4. Add mint leaves, chopped coriander, whole green chillies and close the lid.
5. When the water comes to boil, rice, stir and close the lid.
6. Stir in between. Cook on high flame till the water gets dry, approximately 15 min and then simmer for 10 min.

Baghara Khana is ready to be served.
