Mushroom Side Dish Recipe: Korean Mushroom Side Dish



This simple to make Korean mushroom side dish is called Beoseot namul 버섯나물 or Beoseot bokkeum 버섯볶음. It is a perfect side dish for Bibimbap and Japchae meals.

Ingredients:
6 dried shiitake mushrooms, soaked in a bowl of very hot water, stems facing down, cover bowl for 30 minutes until softened.

Note: Shiitake mushrooms are called 冬菇 in Chinese or pyogo buseot 표고버섯 in Korean.

1 garlic clove, crushed
a pinch of salt
¼ tsp (1ml) vegetable oil
¼ tsp (1ml) sesame oil
¼ tsp (1ml) dry roasted white sesame seeds
