गुजराती मेथी मुठिया | Methi Muthiya Recipe in Hindi by Cooking with Smita | Muthia for Undhiyu

Methi Muthia (मेथी मुठिया) or Methi Muthiya is traditional Gurajati Tea-Time Snack. Fist-shaped deep-fried snack is made from Methi (Fenugreek Leaves), mix flours & spices. It is a must ingredient for famous Gujarati Dish Unthiyu. They can also be added to Dal, Kadhi or some of the traditional Gujarati Sabzis. It is usually prepared steamed, but for adding in Undhiyu & Sabzi, we make it deep fried. Here’s detailed video recipe on How To Make Methi Muthiya / गुजराती मेथी मुठिया / મેથી ના મુઠીયા.

1 & ½ cup Fresh Fenugreek Leaves (मेथी)
½ cup Fresh Coriander (धनिया)
1 & ½ cup Wheat Flour (गेहूं का आटा)
3/4th cup coarsely ground Wheat Flour (गेहूं का जाड़ा आटा)
3/4th cup Bengal Gram Flour (बेसन)
2 tbsp. Powder Sugar (चीनी)
2 tbsp. Sesame Seeds (तिल)
1 tsp. Carom Seeds (अजवाइन)
½ tsp. Turmeric Powder (हल्दी)
2 tsp. Coriander & Cumin Powder (धनिया जीरा पाउडर)
1 tsp. Garam Masala (गरम मसाला)
2 tsp. Red Chilli Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
2 tbsp. Oil (तेल)
3 tbsp. Ginger, Garlic, Green Chilli Paste (अदरक लहसुन हरी मिर्च पेस्ट)
1/4th cup Curd (दही)
1/4th cup Soda (खाने वाला सोडा)
Salt to taste (नमक)
Oil for deep fry (तेल)
