  • I’ve just watched your vid again for the Pho recipe, and it reminded me of something. When I told my doctor I was beginning this diet, straight away he whipped out the pad of Sulli & Nic forms and ordered blood tests to check BSL and cholesterol levels; and I’ve never had a problem with either, and my BP stays around 115-122/65-72…and I’ve got a few years on you. I didn’t call him on his reaction at the time, but I’m going to. Did your doctor do this?

  • I am so proud of you. I am right there with you. My family has also gone on a baking rampage and I am doing fine while they oooo and ahhh over everything. My sister warned me that my family would start having more sweets around the house during my dieting days. I don't know what that is about but I am told it is a very subconscious reaction on there part and that many people do up there sweets when a family member decides to diet. Maybe they think if one person in the family is deprived they will be deprived as well so they bring in or make more sweets to hoard them up. The thing is, I don't feel deprived. I have no craving for sweets at all. This, for me, is a miracle. Thank you, Keto! Continue to stand tall and strong, Lisa. We are all here supporting you every step of the way when you need it. Congrats on the continued weight loss.

  • Lisa I'm on a keto cycle too & have been since Sept. I did however go off over the festive season, back on today 😂 Check out keto gang on Insta & Fitmencook.com has two winning recipes that you have to try! One is called Keto Sliders & 3 ingredient low carb bread!!! I use the keto sliders for a fathead pizza dough & its soooo goood, hands down the best ever! I've tried a lot but nothing tastes anywhere near as good as this! I downloaded his app so I always have it on the go & bought his cookbook too. Many of his recipes can easily be switched out to make vegan, gf, keto, vegetarian etc.

  • Hey Lisa…you are doing AMAZING!! I love that your kid's meals just need a small tweak but is primarily the same as you & the hubs. It is sooo important to start early. As you said, being in our 40's means we NEED to start taking care & I think it is admirable that you have decided to do Keto rather than take medications bc it'll just turn into needing another med for the problems that the first med creates & becomes a vicious circle. Also, fasting is #1 for ridding & curing disease, etc… Plus once you truly get to more extended fasting or usually on day 3 is when AUTOPHAGY really kicks in so if you can, keep trying to close that eating window to less & less time until you can comfortably do OMAD, then slowly fast longer & longer if true healing & autophagy are what you need!

  • I probably should have eaten before I watched this. The Vietnamese Pho looks yummy even to me – vegetarian except for the Coriander. Ewww I hate coriander. So glad to see you still going strong on your weight loss journey. There is so much I need to learn about Keto. You're totally right about focusing on what you can eat instead of what you can't.   • I love pho and never knew how to make it myself! I’m excited to try these! Also there are some low carb/calorie ‘rice noodles’ (Coles and Woolworths) that aren’t bad to add to stir fries and soups – they’re a bit firmer bit an ok alternative

  • Well done Lisa! The food ideas you showed are great. I love your attitude about medication. I have been on and off anti depressants throughout my life but a big goal of mine was to get off them completely. I totally agree with you about trying to fix the "problem" with what's causing the problem as opposed to just taking medication. Sometimes it is absolutely necessary to take them but it's wonderful if it can be avoided. Anyway, great results and lovely to see you looking so happy xo

  • Congrats on the weight loss. I'm glad to see things going so well for you! You've discovered what those of us who have been keto for a long while try to tell people – it gives you control over your relationship with food and is therefore easier to stick to than other diet changes often are. I think so many of us have blamed ourselves and thought we were weak-willed when we couldn't stick to other diets, but the truth is that hunger and hormones made it so much more difficult than it needed to be, and keto takes both of those out of the equation.

  • Hi Lisa…. thank you so much for making these videos they are really helping me stay on the wagon. I did Keto on and off last year with some success but let it go about September last year. I have since gotten back on (Jan 1st) and have lost 5kilos so far. I wanted to let you and others know that Kmart has a great Keto cook book… called The Beginners Keto Diet. I also found this great bread replacement at ALDI which is actually quite nice. You are going great…it is very apparent your whole mindset has changed which is so important.
