just made this it is delicious! I added my little twists and improvised. since I couldn't find any of the masala seasonings, I used curry powder, and plain yogurt and I let my chicken marinade overnight, then I went ahead and did everything as directed, I added a little fresh Ginger to the onion garlic and butter mixture. and I made the sauce and added a bit more seasonings including cinnamon, simply delicious ????

This recipe is not good at all! Its so bland no flavor what so ever. I was so disappointed when I was done making it, I watched other videos to see if I could add some flavor to it, I ended up adding so many extra spices just to give it some flavor. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone!

The authentic recipe does not have so much butter.plain yoghurt is used insted n a lil bit of fresh cream

It is a very simple dish that is made with around 50 gms of butter. The gravy is mostly milk/cream and pureed tomato.

Sorry to say but this is not even close to the real butter chicken. To omit unhealthy calories i use olive oil and cashew paste instead of butter and cream but there is no yogurt in the recipe. The chicken needs to marinate in the yogurt, ginger garlic paste and spices for hours. Secondly there is no onion in the actual recipe.

It would be better to call this a recipe as "American style Butter Chicken". Its not even closer to the Indian style of cooking.
